Cat + Sean Tie the Knot in The Snowy Foothills of California
Let me tell you a little story of how I came to know the Taylors. It was pure chance. Cat is a photographer as well and we actually met to trade headshots! Well, I got headshots and Cat and Sean had some couples photos taken and they were the cutest couple who shared so much passion, their love was undeniable. We kept in touch very well, bonding over photography and the love of her two doggos. They had chatted about their upcoming wedding and all the excitement surrounding it. Unfortunately her pups had some medical issues and they had realized that their two pups wouldn’t be able to attend… this was far from ideal. Doing what dog lovers would do best, they re-routed the entire plan and decided “Lets just elope!”.
I was HONORED to say the least to be asked to photograph their elopement. It all happened fairly quickly. Dogs were leashed, photographer booked, videographer booked and location secured. Cat and Sean landed on eloping in the gorgeous Sierra Nevada Mountains, specifically Bear River Reservoir located up highway 88 in California. This winter elopement location was magical, quiet and peaceful as it normally is full of all the regular hustle and bustle of summer camping. It made for the perfect winter elopement location. The two shared the magic with their two long time friends who happened to be the officiant and the videographer. This short and sweet elopement held all the same joy as their actual wedding day, that they did in fact go on to have as well, where they further celebrated with all their friends and family.
Here is a peek at their elopement:
